The ANROWS Conference 2025 will be held on Wednesday 14 May (online), Thursday 15 May (online), and Friday 16 May (in person at the Aerial Function Centre, Sydney).
While anyone is welcome to attend, our intended audience for the ANROWS Conference is policymakers, service providers, practitioners, researchers and advocates.
The full Conference runs for three days, with Wednesday 14 May and Thursday 15 May held online, and Friday 16 May held in person at the Aerial Function Centre, Sydney.
We offer a range of registration types to suit your needs. You can register to either attend just the two online days (14 and 15 May 2025), just the in-person workshop day (16 May 2025), or attend all three days.
Program sessions are structured around thematic conversational panels, presentations and with various opportunities for engagement. There are also some structured opportunities for networking at the in-person day.
The theme of the 2025 Conference is “Listen, learn, act. Centring children and young people to end violence.”
The Conference aims to:
At the ANROWS Conference 2025, we gather with a shared purpose: to centre children and young people at the heart of the conversation about ending domestic, family and sexual violence.
Yes, we will record the Conference sessions. We will email you a link to view the recordings following the Conference.
The Conference aims to provide attendees with the following key takeaways:
ANROWS has worked with people with lived expertise throughout the design and delivery of the Conference. We are working with two Advisory Groups – one made up of young advocates, and another drawing on our colleagues in the domestic, family and sexual violence sector. We are also working with Conference speakers with lived expertise.
In line with our commitment to centring children and young people’s voices, we are supporting their guidance over and participation in the Conference, including through remunerating for their lived expertise. This reflects the value of their essential work to end violence, and recognises the unique and valuable insights that have strengthened the design and delivery of our Conference.
