1. Introduction

1.1. The ANROWS Conference is organised by Australia’s National Research Organisation for Women’s Safety (ANROWS), an Australian registered company (ABN 67 162 349 171).

1.2. References to "we," "us," and "our" refer to ANROWS, while "you" refers to the individual or entity registering for the conference.

1.3. By registering, you agree to these terms, which take precedence over any other terms you may have.

1.4. We may publicly acknowledge our association with you, such as through social media, but will do so in a professional and non-disparaging manner.

1.5. Attendees must be at least 18 years old unless accompanied by an adult.  

2. Registration 

2.1. Registration is subject to availability and full payment.

2.2. You will receive confirmation or rejection via email within two business days.

2.3. Tickets are issued for named attendees only and, except as noted in Section 4.2, cannot be transferred. 

3. Fees & Payment 

3.1. Registration fees are outlined on the booking form and may be subject to change.

3.2. Prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include a 10% GST (excluding international bookings).

3.3. Once your registration is confirmed, if you elect to pay by invoice, the invoice will be sent within two business days, with payment due within fourteen days.

3.4. Early bird rates apply only if registration and payment are finalised by 11:59pm Friday 21 March 2025.

3.5. Credit card payments will incur a 1.2% processing fee per transaction.

3.6. Payments are securely processed, and ANROWS does not store payment details.

3.7. If full payment is not received before the conference, entry may be denied, and your registration may be cancelled.

4. Changes & Cancellations 

4.1. We reserve the right to modify conference details, such as content, schedule, location, or speakers, due to circumstances beyond our control. We will notify you of any changes.

4.2. If you are unable to attend, you may nominate an alternate attendee at no extra cost by providing written notice at least two days before the event, provided full payment has been received.

4.3. Registration fees are non-refundable unless explicitly approved in writing. Cancellations must be made at least two days before the event. Same-day cancellations are not eligible for refunds.

4.4. No refunds will be issued for non-attendance.

4.5. All approved refunds will be processed after the conference.

4.6. Non-payment does not constitute cancellation.

4.7. We are not responsible for losses due to event cancellations resulting from extraordinary events (e.g., war, terrorism, natural disasters, travel disruptions).

5. Conference Content 

5.1. All conference materials, including presentations and recordings, are the property of ANROWS or used with permission.

5.2. Unauthorized recording, copying, or distribution of conference content is prohibited.

5.3. Conference content is provided for informational purposes only and should not replace professional advice.

5.4. While we strive for accuracy, ANROWS is not responsible for errors or reliance on third-party content.

5.5. Online content may be modified or removed at our discretion. 

6. Liability 

6.1. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount paid for your registration.

6.2. We are not responsible for indirect losses, including but not limited to lost profits, reputational damage, or data loss.

6.3. You agree to indemnify ANROWS against any claims, losses, or costs resulting from your actions during the conference.

6.4. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, injury, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be legally limited.

7. General Terms 

7.1. These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and ANROWS and override any previous agreements.

7.2. Registering does not create a partnership or agency relationship between you and ANROWS.

7.3. Communications may be electronic, including emails and notices posted on our website.

7.4. Registration rights cannot be resold or transferred, except as specified in Section 4.2.

7.5. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, and any disputes will be resolved in New South Wales courts.

8. Attendance Policy 

8.1. ANROWS reserves the right to deny or revoke attendance at any time at its discretion.

8.2. Attendees must comply with these terms, and instructions from ANROWS representatives.

8.3. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event without a refund.

9. Privacy & Media 

9.1. You may be photographed, filmed, or recorded during the conference.

9.2. ANROWS may use your name and image in promotional materials without compensation.

9.3. Your personal information may be used for conference-related purposes.

9.4. ANROWS owns all rights to event media and materials.

9.5. You waive any moral rights to materials featuring you and agree not to make claims regarding their use.
